CEUMAR: WELCOME TO THE NETHERLANDS |

Recently arrived to stay in the Netherlands, meet Ceumar, a Brazilian singer with a crystal-clear voice and with all the charm of a Brazilian woman. Her name – which could have been a reference to heaven (Ceu) and Sea (Mar) – is very lyrical an a justifying metaphor of her musical approach, but it’s actually a combination of her father’s and mother’s names.
As a child, Ceumar was exposed to the music of artists like Milton Nascimento, Lo Borges, Clube da Esquina, Joyce and Boca Livre. When embracing her own musical carriere, Ceumar tended to choose a less obvious road, not very eager to sing the songs “everybody” already sung before her. Her first concert was called “30 Songs you don’t hear on the radio”, containing songs of Egberto Gismonti, Hermeto Pascoal, A Barca do Sol and others.
How fortunate we are to have Ceumar performing in the Netherlands. We would like to invite to listen the voice and talent of Ceumar – CLICK HERE, press play, seat back and enjoy!
However, if you are in the Netherlands and wish to see a live performance, Cermar has a concert planned for November 20th in the RASA Center for World Cultures in Utrecht.
