Lilian Vieira was born in the city of Teresópolis in the State of Rio de Janeiro and came to the Netherlands in 1989 to study music at the Conservatory of Rotterdam. She is known for her beautiful voice, a wide smile and a soulful nature. She became very popular as vocalist and composer of the Dutch band “ZUCO 103”.

Rogério Bicudo grew up also in Rio de Janeiro - you could almost say with a guitar in his hands. He had already started playing Brazilian folk music by the time he was eight. Barely four years later, he started working as a professional musician. Rogério studied at Music Conservatory of Madrid, in Spain. As a soloist, Rogério Bicudo plays Brazilian Choros and Valsas, in addition to a classical repertoire.

The Brazilian duo will perform on August 10th at 20:15 hrs in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In the programme there will be mainly sambas. However, besides some highlights of the classic samba repertoire, they’ll play also their own compositions and several “choros”, a Brazilian music genre that requires great skills from the performers.
